Now in its sixth year, more than 2,200 D1 neighbors have attended the D1 Satellite Hours meetings. Information, ideas, strategies and quality of life concerns are shared between Councilman Tate and D1 neighbors over beverages at the Motor City Java House (17336 Lahser Road) every first and third Friday at 11 a.m. Everyone’s first drink is free courtesy of Councilman Tate and his team.

Our newest edition to the Satellite Hours are First Fridays, a fireside chat style interview held on the first Friday of each month between Councilman Tate and a service worker who’s job is to provides essential, yet often overlooked quality of life assignments for Detroit residents.
