DI$COVER D1 is an expansion of D1 Discount Days which was developed by Councilman Tate in 2014 to promote businesses located within the district. DI$COVER D1 aims to encourage economic sustainability, business development and community engagement.

 

Since inception, DI$COVER D1 has hosted numerous Cash Flash events designed to encourage residents to visit a specific small business on a set date and time in order to increase awareness and revenue for the business. To date, DI$COVER D1 Cash Flash events have engaged more than 520 neighbors.

Our interactive website, www.DiscoverD1.com, remains the only business directory that covers an entire City Council district with more than 670 small businesses and faith-based institutions all located in District 1.

Small business owners have an opportunity to network and learn about funding possibilities as well as city-planned projects at our DI$COVER D1 Power Hour gatherings. Power Hour events ensure that small business owners have access to tools and information that will help keep them sustainable for years to come.
